The SEC'S XBRL Mandate: A Practical Perspective

Back by popular demand, CCS's partner Federal Filings, is providing two webinars concerning XBRL. We are offering two webinars:

- Introduction to XBRL

- XBRL: Calculations and Common Errors

Historically, the EDGAR side of SEC filing has been a form of word processing: the filing agent used specialized software to convert Word and Excel documents to HTML. The agent probably never even read the documents or looked at the numbers. The XBRL world is now fundamentally different.

The new XBRL compliance requirement involves creating a second set of financial statements. This requires a sophisticated knowledge of GAAP accounting, which is something most SEC filing agents simply do not have. In response, most filing agents have been scrambling to hire qualified accountants or outsourcing their XBRL work to third parties.

These webinars provide a timely, summary designed for controllers, C-level executives, finance managers, attorneys, IT professionals, CPAs, auditors and department heads.

This seminar is provided as a service to the SEC compliance community. Each session is presented by a live instructor over a web connection. Each attendee will receive 1 hour of CPE credit in area of Information Technology. To reserve your space click on the Sign-up Now and fill out a registration form.
